Text príspevku číslo 2118:
Hi and welcome to the list.

I also live in the UK and have MS. You could always ask your doctor for a referral to a neurologist at the hospital. This then it is upto the neuro to do the MRI and other tests, but right down the symptoms as and when they happen, because one thing guarantee (I always find anyway) is that you won't remember everything when you get to see him.

If your doctor refuses, as far as I know you can go to your local neurology Dep't and make a appointment yourself (but I am not 100% on this)

The sympoms do sound very much like I started. I felt as though I was trying to stop my muscles in my legs from having a fit. When I got in the bath the water felt stone cold on my left side but the right temperature on the other. I have always had a painful back and the neuro's maintain it is nothing to do with ms as it goes back about 15 years. But I do know allot of people suffer severe back pain due to MS.

But also please bear in mind that MS effects everyone differently. If you take a look through our lists you will find that there are very few people who has the exact same syptoms as another.

Anyway only websites that I know of, which are of any good are:

www.msrc.co.uk - This is a charity organisation supporting anyone affected by MS and also have a freephone helpline number: 08007830518. They also have a e-mail address at themsrc@yahoo.com.

The only other site I can think of which supplies online infomation is www.msworld.org.

I hope I have helped you, and please feel free to e-mail at any time and let us know how you get on.

I have just got one small favour to ask of you, could you please tell us your name or the name by which we may call you. Thanks.

Best wishes
